emma's 5th birthday

so this is how long it has been since ive done a blog! emmas birthday was back in july, how bad is that? well with it being in july i thought we would have the party at home and it was going to be her 1st proper party so we had ordered a bouncy castle, i thought i wouldnt have to worry about the weather and all the kids could be out side so she had invited all the cousins and some school friends! big... huge mistake! it poored it down so had to have it in the house!!!

Leah liked adopted some of her more girly presents!

my brill sister in law made the peppa pig cake, i had intended on doing it myself but she insisted on doing it so who am i to argue!

We had to think of some things to do so the face paints came out, i convinced david to do some magic tricks which they loved! this is Leahs best friend nancy from across the road.

Played the usual pass the parsel and grandad joined in the fun! i was so stressed out that the kids would be bored but they had agreat time and the kids just ran wild.
there must have been over 20 kids here. After there was little chocolate hand prints going up my stairs and little prints of tiger face on my bed sheets!!! o the fun............ never again will i have it at home, ive learnt my lesson!

daddy's birthday

so it was davids birthday and i decided it was about time that i actually made a cake myself, with the girls help of cause! i had to go and buy every thing as i didnt even have tins or scales.... i know, im bad! but for those who know me that wont be much of a surprise!
i had my sister-in-law round who guided me through it and the girls decorated the cake. Emma kinda chucked every thing on and leah placed each bit on carefully after giving it a good lick!!

As you can see the girls were so excited and david had been banned from the kitchen so we could do our 'SURPRISE'

hmmmm......i swear it tasted better than it looked, i was impressed with my first real attempt. so now i have all this baking stuff i think i need to learn how to do stuff!!!.... one day maybe!

Leah turns 3!

our princess Leah turned 3!!!
We had the family round for cake and as you can see she wasnt impressed with the birthday singing, because in the middle of happy birthday she got off her chair and walked out off the room!

We finally got her back into the room to blow out her candles.

you would never have thought she didnt like the attention!

she is definitly not my baby anymore, i cant believe how fast time goes, i wish i can wrap them up and put them in my pocket!

great grandma comes to limerick

so this is my grandma, she is 83 and came all by herself to visit us in Ireland! it was lovely to spend some proper time with her as it has been so long. It was especially nice for the girls to get to know her and for grandma to get to know them.
We went for a walk by the river and david was able to meet us, so we had alovely time just being together.

Best sisters ever!

thanks grandma for coming and seeing us, the girls still talk about their 'great' grandma, we love you!

and there was snow........ and it was good......

finally we had a decent amount of snow, enough to make a snowman and we had agreat time! David took the day off work and emma stayed home from school, you just never know when we will see snow like this again in ireland. so we made the most of it. days like these are what memories are made of.
Emma spent most of her time making snow angels, she was wet throug by the time she was done.

of course everything that emma does leah follows.

im going to get you mummy!!!

David and the girls did the snowman, i think david was having the most fun .
my snow bunnies

So it was about 8.30 in the morning and most of the kids were out on the road and having a big snowball fight and of course david was right in the middle of it.

back home with the moss's

So me and the girls went to england for the weekend. David didnt end up coming again so we missed him alot and wish he could have joinded in the fun.
We went for a walk on the sunday just to try and get the kids out and let off some steam. we all had agreat time but didnt realize how cold it was.
The girls thought it was great and emma kept with all the big boys and leah stayed in her own little world jumping in all the muddy puddles. i kept thinking when is she going to fall in one! thank goodness it never got to that!
my emma trying to keep up with the boys!

ahhh look at that!

We stayed at angelas house, i thought this would make sure that we would actually spend some time together but with six kids between us it was hard to get a minute. I miss her, our talks and laughing till you cry. one day we will be us again and i will have my best friend back!

My dad picked us up from the airport and we all had to do a second take as he had face of white fluff.... the girls thought he was santa! i love the way he is with the girls and they love him especially his pancakes. I love you dad.

my brother andrew with emma playing guitar heros. all the kids really got into it and lets just say the noise level that day was loud!
